Morocco’s King Appoints Nine New Ambassadors to Strengthen Diplomatic Corps

King Mohammed VI yesterday appointed nine new ambassadors during a council of ministers held in Marrakech, on the proposal of Prime Minister Saad Eddine El Othmani.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these are mainly career diplomats and personalities from different backgrounds "who will have to contribute to the strengthening of the Moroccan diplomatic apparatus".
Here is the complete list:
• Ahmed Rahhou, Ambassador to the European Union
• Hassan Tariq, Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia
• Mohamed El Basri, Ambassador to the Netherlands
• Mustapha Benkhiyi: Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain
• Imane Ouadil, Ambassador to the Republic of Ghana
• Youssef Slaoui, to Burkina Faso,
• Abdelfettah Lebbar, Ambassador to the United Mexican States
• Abderrahim Atmoun, Ambassador to the Republic of Poland
• Mohamed Achkalou, Ambassador to the Republic of Finland.
The last appointments of ambassadors date back to last April when the Moroccan sovereign had appointed a dozen ambassadors.
