According to the HCP’s information note on the main indicators of the labor market in 2019, this volume results from the creation of 250,000 jobs in urban areas and the loss of 85,000 in rural areas.
The same note mentions 234,000 paid jobs created between 2018 and 2019, compared to 173,000 between 2017 and 2018. As for unpaid employment, which is 98% made up of family helpers, it recorded a decrease of 69,000 jobs.
