Morocco-Israel Trade Surges 234% Following Diplomatic Normalization

Following the normalization of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel in December last year, trade exchanges have increased between the two countries. This is indicated by data from the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics.
Trade exchanges between Israel and the four Arab countries (United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco) that have normalized relations with it are thriving. Over the first seven months of 2021, these exchanges increased by 234% compared to the same period in 2020, according to data from the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics.
In detail, the volume of trade between Morocco and Israel reached $20.8 million over the first seven months of 2021, compared to $14.9 million recorded in December 2020.
The amount of transactions between the United Arab Emirates - which normalized its relations with Israel in August 2020 - and the Hebrew state increased from $50.8 million between January and July 2020, to $613.9 million over the same period in 2021.
These data were obtained without taking into account several sectors: trade, tourism, services.
