Morocco-Israel Chamber of Commerce Set to Launch in Casablanca This Year

Since the normalization of relations between Morocco and Israel, several projects are in the works. Thus, many personalities from the business world in various sectors of the economy like Joseph Levy, have addressed the issue of the creation of a Chamber of Commerce in Casablanca.
Interviewed by le Challenge on the issue of the creation of this Chamber, businessman Joseph Levy said that the Morocco-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIMI) is in the making, specifying that the institution will open its doors during this year. Personalities from various sectors of the economy have come together to create the Morocco-Israel Chamber of Commerce, which will serve as a bridge for its future members, especially businessmen from the two countries.
Like other Chambers of Commerce, the CCIMI will be set up as a non-profit association, in accordance with Moroccan legislation, explains Joseph Levy, stressing that it will bring together several economic and social operators and institutions that have already joined the project. It will also be an organization at the service of "strengthening economic relations" between the two countries, providing more visibility to the opportunities offered by the two countries.
The CCIMI will also allow Moroccan companies to seize opportunities in several sectors such as agriculture, fish farming, water management, agri-food and others in which Israel has developed quality expertise.
Speaking of the possibilities of business partnerships between businessmen and public and private institutions in the two countries, the interviewee believes that many sectors already offer promising prospects and have been identified. The project is progressing well and is in agreement with all the ministries. Also, a digital platform dedicated to the Chamber is in the process of being developed. Finally, Joseph Levy recalled that to strengthen this collective, the CCIMI will necessarily have the mission of organizing business trips and regular trade missions.
