Morocco and Israel to Host Major Tech Innovation Forum in Marrakech

Morocco and Israel are working to strengthen the partnership between Israeli companies and Moroccan operators. In this sense, it is planned to organize a major business forum on technologies and innovation applied to all sectors in Marrakech next year.
Marrakech will host a major business forum on technologies and innovation applied to all sectors in May 2022, reports L’Économiste. At the helm, the Morocco-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIMI), and its counterpart created in Tel Aviv. In total, more than 300 operators from the two countries will participate.
Created last April, the CCIMI is an organization at the service of "strengthening economic relations" between the two countries, giving more visibility to the opportunities offered by the two countries. It allows Moroccan companies to seize opportunities in several sectors such as agriculture, aquaculture, water management, agri-food and others in which Israel has developed quality expertise.
Several actions have already been taken. We can mention the visit of CCIMI delegations to Israel to meet officials and representative bodies of the business community. "These meetings have highlighted the enthusiasm of Israeli companies to strengthen the partnership with Moroccan operators," said CCIMI President Saïd Benryane.
"These relations are not limited to business aspects. Israeli operators are also in a logic of sharing and exchanging expertise," he insisted. As an example, he mentions the proposal of a large Israeli group, active in the field of Big data applied to the medical field. This group wants to train 5,000 Moroccan engineers, over 5 years, in the fields of Big data and artificial intelligence.
