Morocco Invests 35 Billion Dirhams in Road Infrastructure Since 2012

Morocco has invested heavily in road infrastructure over the past seven years. A total of 149 partnership agreements have been concluded in this area by the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water since 2012, for a total amount of 35.6 billion DH, said the Minister in charge, Abdelkader Amara.
During a session at the House of Advisors, the Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water stated that "the Ministry has been linked since 2012 by conventions apart from those relating to the implementation of the second National Rural Roads Program".
The total budget mobilized, in accordance with these agreements, amounts to 35.6 billion DH, of which a contribution from the Ministry, estimated at 16 billion, according to his clarifications.
The Minister also specified that six agreements relating to road projects are under study for an investment of 1.2 billion, which will be financed by the Ministry, up to 90%.
