Morocco’s Highway Authority ADM Reports 5% Traffic Growth, Doubles Digital Customers

Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) has recorded notable progress in terms of commercial performance, road infrastructure, sustainable mobility and renewable energy. And the prospects are good.
"This year has been in line with our expectations. We have a good traffic growth of around 5%. In terms of modernization and digitalization through the Jawaz service, we have exceeded 800,000 customers to date compared to 400,000 recorded last year and 200,000 customers in 2017," said Anouar Benazzouz, CEO of Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) to the newspaper Aujourd’hui le Maroc.
On the infrastructure side, he said that ADM is striving to carry out the tripling of the Ain-Harrouda to Berrechid axis over 60 km. This is a project whose work is progressing rapidly. He also highlighted the Tit Mellil-Berrechid highway project. This is a new 30 km highway. The work will be launched after the completion of the expropriation phase.
Regarding sustainable mobility, ADM has implemented the green program. At this level, 3 million plants have been planted and 800,000 others are about to be planted. The objective is to protect the highway slopes against water erosion.
As for water consumption on construction sites, ADM has developed methods to reduce it. In terms of renewable energy, the company has implemented the Azur program. Thanks to this program, electric charging stations have been installed in the rest areas.
