Morocco Held to Goalless Draw by Peru in Friendly Match

The Atlas Lions had to settle for a draw against Peru (0-0) in a friendly match played on the pitch of the Cívitas Metropolitano stadium in Madrid.
Despite domination and clear technical superiority, Hakim Ziyech’s teammates failed to shake the opposing nets. Peru, for its part, managed to hold defensively, but with sometimes good offensive actions.
The two teams concluded the match with ten players, Sofiane Boufal having also been sent off for Morocco at the end of the game. This did not prevent the Atlas Lions from completing this sequence of two friendly matches undefeated, after their victory against Brazil (2-1) last Saturday in Tangier.
The men of Walid Regragui have shown solidity and great determination, even if the lack of realism in front of the goals will have cost dearly tonight. This match will undoubtedly allow the Moroccan coach to draw the necessary lessons for the next appointments.
