Morocco Held to 1-1 Draw by DR Congo in Friendly Match
The friendly match between the Atlas Lions and the Leopards of the DR Congo ended in a 1-1 draw, this Tuesday at the Moulay Abdellah sports complex in Rabat.
The Atlas Lions, who had largely dominated Senegal last Friday, this time stumbled against a very solid Congolese team.
However, it was the Moroccan team that opened the scoring in the 45th minute of play thanks to Noussair Mazraoui. A quarter of an hour later (60th minute), the equalization of the Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo came on a shot by Wissa Yoane.
The Lions, who needed to follow up with another victory to gain more confidence, rather ended up with a draw in their second friendly match, after a long international break imposed by the health crisis due to Covid-19. Last Friday, they had beaten Senegal 3-1.
