Morocco’s Hakimi Outvalues Entire Peru Squad Ahead of Madrid Friendly

The Peruvian team led by Juan Reynoso has a very modest value on the international market compared to that of the Moroccan team. The most expensive Moroccan player is worth all the Peruvian players combined. The two teams will face each other in a friendly match this Tuesday in Madrid.
The value of the Moroccan team, a semi-finalist at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and who won their last match against Brazil (2-1), far exceeds that of the Peruvian team who lost their last match against Germany (2-0). According to Transfermarkt, the total value of the Moroccan team is 307 million euros and its most expensive player, Achraf Hakimi, the right-back of PSG, with his 70 million euros, is worth more than the entire Peruvian team.
As for the Peruvian team, its value barely reaches 47.85 million euros, and its most expensive player, midfielder Renato Tapia, with his 7.5 million euros, is worth just over 10% of Hakimi’s value. The Moroccan star of the Parisian club will not play tonight’s match, coach Walid Regragui announced on Monday at a press conference. But the Moroccan team has a lot of talent like Noussair Mazraoui who could probably replace Hakimi, Youssef En-Nesyri, Hakim Ziyech, Sofyan Amrabat and others.
The friendly match between Morocco and Peru will take place this Tuesday, March 28 from 9:30 p.m. (local time) and 2:30 p.m. (Peruvian time), at the Cívitas Metropolitano stadium in Madrid. This will be the second meeting between the two teams since their match at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico, won by Peru (3-0).
