Morocco’s Hakimi Honors Victims of Deadly Cameroon Stadium Stampede

On the eve of the match of the Atlas Lions, a stampede left 8 dead at the Olembé stadium. Achraf Hakimi paid tribute to the memory of these victims and expressed his condolences to the families and the injured.
After relieving the stress of his team’s qualification for the quarter-finals, Achraf Hakimi had a thought for the supporters who died on Monday, January 24, at the Olembé stadium during the Cameroon-Comoros match.
"Eight people who died yesterday at the Olembé stadium will forever remain in our memory. Football takes a back seat today, even though it is a happy day for our country, after our qualification for the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. Rest in peace," he wrote on his Instagram account.
