Morocco’s 12-Game Win Streak Propels Atlas Lions Toward FIFA Top 10 Rankings

With its recent performances, Morocco will likely gain points in the FIFA world rankings and move closer to the 10th place ahead of Germany. The Atlas Lions will also maintain their 1st place in Africa.
Morocco is closer than ever to the world’s top 10 in the FIFA rankings. With a record of 12 consecutive victories (unbeaten in 14 matches), the Atlas Lions should outrank Germany to move closer to the world’s top. The Moroccan team could climb from 12th to 11th place in the world. Beaten by Portugal in the Champions League semi-final before suffering a defeat against France, the Mannschaft could lose two points, dropping from 10th to 12th place in the world. After losing its 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Norway (3-0) and winning its match against Moldova (2-0), Italy could occupy the 10th place in the FIFA world rankings.
With the latest friendly victories against Tunisia (2-0) and Benin (1-0), Morocco will maintain the first place in the African top 20 in the next FIFA rankings to be published on July 10. It will still be ahead of Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Ivory Coast (current African champion) and Tunisia. Cameroon, Mali and South Africa could complete the top 10.
