Morocco at the gates of the FIFA Top 10: how to reach the "Pot 1"?
The Moroccan national football team is about to achieve a historic performance in the FIFA world ranking. Thanks to Italy’s recent poor performance, the Atlas Lions are provisionally 11th and are now aiming for a place in the top 10, an objective that depends on tomorrow’s match.
The essential condition for any progress remains an imperative victory against Uganda, this Tuesday, November 18th. This match is the "cornerstone" of any scenario. If Walid Regragui’s men win, they will reach 1,713 points, a total sufficient to secure at least this 11th place, but the ambition is now higher.

The final ranking of the Atlas Lions will also depend on the results of their direct competitors, who are playing this Monday, November 17th. To reach 10th place, Morocco not only has to beat Uganda, but also hope that one of the two nations (Croatia or Germany) will stumble (draw or defeat).
The most exciting scenario, access to the 9th place in the world, is possible if Croatia and Germany both stumble. This feat would be unprecedented and would place Morocco in the prestigious "first pot" of FIFA, which would strengthen its status in the draw for the major competitions to come.
