Morocco’s Futsal Team Faces World Champions Brazil in Historic Friendly Matches

The Moroccan Futsal team is about to write a new page in its history by facing one of the greatest teams in the discipline: Brazil, in a friendly match on Friday and next Sunday.
The first match is scheduled for Friday at the Arena Brusque and Sunday at the Arena Multiuso Prefeito Estêner Soratto da Silva in the city of Tubarão. Even if Brazil is already five-time world champion, Morocco can count on its record during the last World Cup and its title of winner of the last two editions of the African and Arab championships. These two matches will serve as preparation for the 2024 World Cup.
According to the coach, Morocco owes its reputation in the discipline to "a collegial and harmonious work, as well as the willingness of the officials of the discipline to reach levels of excellence, all according to a new approach to sports management adapted to our realities and our culture".
For his part, the Brazilian coach Marquinhos Xavier, who has called up all the big names in his team, most of whom play abroad, these two matches will not be easy. He fears the Moroccans but remains confident in the ability of his players. "We will play against a solid team that is constantly evolving. Except for Pito, we are complete and we want to offer a great show to our audience. We are happy to welcome Morocco which is a great team," he said.
