Morocco: The franchise sector in danger of death

The serial closure of franchises in the major cities of Morocco worries Mohamed el Fane, the president of the Moroccan Franchise Federation (FMF). He calls on the state to support this sector that is dying.
More and more franchise stores have closed in recent months in major cities like Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Tangier and Agadir, which are distinguished by their commercial and tourist attractiveness. "If this trend continues, we are heading towards a risk of 10 to 15% of store closures in the franchise sector," fears Mohamed el Fane, who points out that essential sectors of the Moroccan economy have been affected by these serial bankruptcies.
