Morocco’s Fouzi Lekjaa to Lead 2030 World Cup Organizing Committee

King Mohammed VI has appointed Fouzi Lekjaa to head the organizing committee for the Moroccan part of the World Cup, following the announcement of the choice of the tripartite candidacy Morocco-Spain-Portugal for the organization of the 2030 World Cup.
Here is the full text of the press release from the Royal Cabinet:
"His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, received, on Thursday at the Royal Palace in Rabat, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), whom the Sovereign has appointed President of the "2030 World Cup Committee".
This appointment follows the vote of the FIFA Council which unanimously retained the Morocco-Spain-Portugal file as the sole candidacy for the organization of the 2030 Football World Cup.
On this occasion, His Majesty the King, may God preserve him, expressed the wish and the will that the organization of this global competition be animated by a strong ambition carried by a project that can make this edition a great success."
