Morocco Football Federation Challenges Inter Milan’s Refusal to Release Achraf Hakimi

The determination of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) to bring Achraf Hakimi to Morocco does not waver in the face of the reasons cited by Inter to prevent him from traveling. The FRMF has sent a letter to Inter Milan regarding the Moroccan player whose absence could disrupt the strategy put in place by Vahid Halilhodzic.
European clubs have imposed restrictions that prevent players from traveling. This decision comes following a note from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), suggesting that clubs "keep" their foreign players, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is not to the liking of the Federation, nor of the coach, who are multiplying their efforts to allow the Atlas Lion to respond to the call-up. National team coach Vahid Halilhodzic had said he was unhappy and angry about this "discriminatory" decision during his press conference on Thursday, March 18.
According to a source within the federation cited by Le360, it sent a letter to Inter Milan on Monday, March 22, 2021, with a view to allowing Achraf Hakimi to join the national team.
