Morocco Football Chief Gains Popular Support Amid CAF Controversy

Faouzi Lekjaâ, head of... Pardon! President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation would be in the good graces of many Moroccan football fans who would see him as an excellent Prime Minister. Potential voters?
After the great victory of the FRMF in Paris (during the emergency meeting in Paris of the executive committee of the Confederation of African Football) during which the WAC received a second chance to win the African Champions League title, which was taken away from Espérance de Tunis, Faouzi Lekjaâ, who was banned from attending the said meeting, has been praised to no end.
Article19 writes on this subject: "Thousands of Moroccans have exchanged posts on social networks describing Lakjaa as a ’statesman’ and ’difficult missions’ following the ’great transformation that national football has undergone in record time since he has been at the helm of the FRMF’".
Many of these dazzled (rightly so, we can agree) Internet users have even called for Lekjaâ to be appointed Prime Minister. We don’t know how but never mind, the will of the Internet users is clear.
Thus, Lekjaâ’s efficiency has not gone unnoticed and Moroccans are demanding similar professionalism and a keen sense of results in the workings of the State. This seems to be the summary of many Internet users’ comments asking the authorities to take Lekjaâ as an example.
Article19 concludes its article in this way: "These Internet users also felt that the positive result obtained by Lakjaa and the Moroccan delegation at the urgent CAF meeting is ’a source of pride’ for all Moroccans. Right now, Lakjaa, who is also a senior official at the Ministry of Finance, is in the wind, but for how long?"
