Morocco Football Chief Addresses Speculation on National Team Coach’s Future

Rumors of the departure of the coach of the Moroccan national football team, Vahid Halilhodzic, have elicited a reaction from the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaâ.
Currently on vacation outside of Morocco, the coach of the Moroccan national team will have to be available for a meeting upon his return to Morocco. Among other things, the 2022 World Cup will be discussed. According to the president of the FRMF, a roadmap will be drawn up so that each party involved is clear on the role to play so that Morocco goes as far as possible in this international competition to be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 19, 2022.
By this statement, Fouzi Lekjaa puts an end to the increasingly insistent rumors about the departure of coach Vahid, specifying that the priority must be the return of peace in order to focus on the essentials: the World Cup.
For the president, the interests of the national team must take precedence over everything else. He promised, referring to the return of players at odds with the coach, that no detail will be left to chance with regard to the preparation of the Atlas Lions for the 2022 World Cup.
Morocco, participating for the sixth time in the World Cup, is in Group F with Belgium, Croatia and Canada.
