UK to Morocco Flight Bookings Surge, Surpassing Pre-Pandemic Levels

Flights from Great Britain to Morocco have increased compared to 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic. This is revealed by the latest travel trends for 2023 from the airline EasyJet and EasyJet Holidays.
According to recent research conducted by the airline in November 2022, flights to North African destinations from British airports are booming. Flights from Great Britain to Morocco have increased significantly compared to 2019. Tunisia is in the lead. It recorded the strongest increase since the launch of its Big Orange Sale promotion (offering up to 20% discount on over a million seats and up to £300 discount on vacation packages). It is followed by Egypt. Tirana in Albania and Tivat in Montenegro, "which offer an alternative to Italy and Croatia for those wishing to explore the Adriatic coast", as well as Dalaman and Antalya in Turkey are among the other destinations that have gained in popularity since 2019, EasyJet said in a statement.
"It’s great to see a return to this traditionally busy booking period, with North Africa seeing a resurgence alongside the Greek islands and hidden gems like Montenegro and Albania. The popularity of EasyJet Holidays vacation packages is also showing no signs of slowing, with many customers opting for all-inclusive stays as their first choice of vacation for 2023," said Ali Gayward, EasyJet’s UK Country Manager. The low-cost carrier will operate more than 463 flights to over 120 destinations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East from the UK. As for the number of airports served by EasyJet across the UK, it stands at 21.
