EU-Morocco Fishing Deal Allows Spanish Vessels to Return to Moroccan Waters

Morocco and the European Union have recently signed an agreement, giving European boats the green light to resume their activities in the waters of the kingdom. With the announcement of this news, Spanish fishermen are beaming with happiness.
According to Les Inspirations Eco, European boats can now return to Morocco during this health crisis period. This is excellent news for the players in the sector in the sense that they did not know what to expect on April 1st, the date coinciding with the end of the biological rest period.
The same source reports that four Andalusian boats were able, on Sunday, to cast their nets in Moroccan fishing grounds, precisely in the northern zone of the kingdom, near the Gulf of Cadiz.
The agreement signed between Morocco and the EU has made it possible to suspend the clause relating to the landing of catches in Moroccan ports. This suspension implies that European boats can now unload the catches in Moroccan ports. A source welcomes this exception that brings a smile to the Spanish fishermen who have fought for the revision of this clause.
