Morocco’s FIFA Ranking at Risk After Recent Soccer Setbacks

After two mediocre performances, the Moroccan national football team could drop in the next FIFA ranking.
The Atlas Lions could pay dearly for their draw against Cape Verde and their defeat against South Africa in recent international matches. While their exploits at the last World Cup had allowed them to reach 11th place in the world, the next FIFA ranking could see the A national team drop to 13th place. A prospect assumed by coach Walid Regragui, who has maintained his strategy in recent press conferences, despite the possible loss of points for Morocco.
But not everything is black for Morocco: despite this probable decline, the Atlas Lions should maintain their grip on African football. They will remain ahead of Senegal, which, thanks to a friendly win against Brazil, is gradually gaining ground.
