Morocco Fans Prepare for Historic World Cup Quarterfinal Against Portugal

The Atlas Lions take on Portugal in the World Cup quarter-finals this Saturday. A match eagerly awaited by Moroccan supporters around the world, including those in Lille, who felt that the Moroccans have already achieved a good run in the competition.
In a France3 report made 24 hours before this historic match, Moroccan supporters in Lille said they are preparing to accompany the Atlas Lions.
Interviewed, Majid said he will return to watch the match in the hairdressing salon a few steps from his café that has no television, as in the previous phases. "There, they have a screen and continue to work during the match," he recounts. "There are young people who don’t know where to watch it who also come here." Bars or restaurants in the city are surfing on this fervor and have planned to broadcast the match.
For his part, Redouane, a banker and football fan, has already planned to join his family in Paris to follow this match in a tea room. "We’re going to celebrate it. Whatever the result, we’ll be proud of our run," he said, expressing his optimism about the outcome of the match. "We’re no longer afraid of anything," he adds.
According to the Moroccan supporter, Morocco has a combative and competitive team to create a surprise again in this confrontation. "We have a big defensive block, and up front we have technical, fast players who play in the big European championships," he said. And to mention Hakim Ziyech, winger of Chelsea, and star of this Moroccan team. Or Achraf Hakimi, defender of Paris-Saint-Germain. Not forgetting the goalkeeper of Sevilla FC, Yassine Bounou.
