Morocco Faces Iraq in Crucial 2024 Olympics Soccer Qualifier

After an opening victory over Argentina (2-1) and a defeat against Ukraine (1-2), the Atlas Lions will face Iraq as part of the third day of Group B at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Moroccan Olympic team is approaching the final stretch for qualification to the quarter-finals. The Atlas Lions will cross swords with Iraq on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the Allianz Riviera in Nice (4pm, Moroccan time) as part of the third day of the group stage of the football tournament of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. On Sunday, they arrived in Nice to prepare for this match. The players who played the match against Ukraine had an indoor training session, while the other Lions trained outdoors at the Parc des Sports Charles Ehrmann in Nice.
After a victory over the Argentine favorites on the first day, the protégés of Tarik Sektioui were surprised by Ukraine (2-1 defeat after a goal in the 90th+8), Saturday at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Étienne. They are third in Group B with three points. The three other teams also have three points each. A draw against Iraq will be enough for Morocco to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
