Morocco Faces Exodus of Skilled Professionals as 10,000+ Executives Leave Country

The brain drain of Moroccans to other skies continues to grow. No less than 10,430 executives have left the Kingdom, including 1,200 businessmen and 630 doctors.
Istiqlali deputy Omar Hjira deplores the departure of Moroccan skills who have chosen to benefit other countries with their professional qualifications. 1,200 businessmen, 630 doctors and 600 engineers have chosen to join the Moroccan community abroad, for lack of attention from the country’s authorities.
According to the daily Assabah, the Deputy stressed, during the plenary session of the House of Representatives, that 70% of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) are in the process of naturalization or hold different nationalities. This phenomenon is largely due to the lack of attention and responsiveness of the Moroccan government.
According to the international survey conducted by Arab Barometer and BBC News, 70% of Moroccans think of emigrating and joining other skies, for economic or social reasons. More alarmingly, this phenomenon affects the young population of Morocco, in particular, citizens under 30 years of age.
