Morocco Faces Defending Champions Portugal in Crucial Futsal World Cup Clash
The Atlas Lions, already qualified for the round of 16 of the Futsal World Cup, face the defending champions, Portugal, this Sunday. This clash is of paramount importance for the two teams.
The top spot in Group E is at stake, a crucial issue that could influence the rest of the competition. Morocco must therefore win to secure its progress in the competition.
The Moroccan coach, Hicham Dguig, intends to learn the lessons from the previous matches to approach this match with more serenity. He should notably rely on the return of Soufiane Borite, a key player of the team. For his part, Portugal, led by Jorge Braz, approaches this match with "respect" but without complex. The Portuguese technician has also praised the progress of Morocco and the work of his counterpart.
Hicham Dguig, aware of the stakes, calls on his players to free themselves from the pressure and play their game. "We will analyze the other matches of Portugal to establish our strategy. We will play this match to win. However, the players must free themselves from the pressure, particularly through the encouragement and positive feedback of the public. Today, the players won 6-3 and they qualified for the next round in the second match and I find it strange that some are not happy with the way of playing!", he said.
This match is scheduled for Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Moroccan time (2:30 p.m. in Europe). It will be broadcast on Arryadia TNT, Fifa+ and L’Équipe TV.
