Morocco Faces Alarming Surge in COVID-19 Cases, Health Minister Warns

The resurgence of coronavirus cases is worrying the health authorities. During a press conference on Monday, July 27, the Minister of Health addressed the epidemiological situation in the country.
In his presentation, the Minister of Health noted that the epidemiological situation in Morocco is worrying and unpredictable. According to the government member, the number of cases in recent days is higher than the last four months with a reproduction rate of 1.9 in Tangier and 3.35 in Berrechid. According to him, the people who are now in intensive care are "our parents and our loved ones".
The minister also deplored the delay that these cases often suffer before being evacuated to hospital centers to receive appropriate care.
For Aït Taleb, the situation is not out of control. However, he urges Moroccans to take the necessary precautions while reminding them of their responsibility.
