Morocco Extradites Drug Trafficker to Belgium While Dubai Delays

Glenn S., a 39-year-old former bouncer from Rumst, had been arrested in Casablanca at the end of 2025. After spending several months in detention in Morocco, he was recently transferred to Belgium and imprisoned at Begijnenstraat prison in Antwerp. His lawyer confirmed his extradition.

This handover comes as Dubai police have just arrested Nasserdine “Nadori” Tarrahi and Najim “Troy” E.M., both aged 38. The two men were apprehended on Thursday while they were at the Mall of the Emirates.

Morocco hands over, Dubai keeps them waiting

Sentenced in May in Antwerp for their role in the importation of at least 840 kilos of cocaine, the two fugitives had been wanted for several months. “Nadori” was sentenced to twelve years in prison and “Troy” to six years.

However, a swift extradition to Belgium appears unlikely. The authorities have not yet specified whether their arrests were carried out at Brussels’ request. Proceedings initiated in the United Arab Emirates may also take several months.

Glenn S.’s transfer shows, by contrast, that judicial cooperation between Morocco and Belgium has already made it possible to see the procedure through to its conclusion, reports Het Nieuwsblad.
