Dubai to Belgium: ’The Boss’ Drug Lord Faces Justice After €25M Real Estate Empire Crumbles

The United Arab Emirates has agreed to extradite the Moroccan drug trafficker Othman El Ballouti, arrested in early December in Dubai, to Belgium.
The extradition of Othman El Ballouti, 37, alias "The Boss" from the United Arab Emirates to Belgium should be effective this Sunday afternoon. He is one of the first cocaine traffickers to fructify his illegal activities in Dubai. He had been convicted in absentia in Antwerp to a total of 27 years in prison for the importation of a batch of 11 tons of cocaine and another of 840 kilos of cocaine.
In the eyes of the police, the thirty-year-old is the "most emblematic drug criminal in Antwerp" because his "activity" would have allowed him to amass a large fortune. He would be the owner of real estate in Dubai worth at least 25 million euros, reveals an investigation by the newspaper Gazet van Antwerpen. El Ballouti is also the uncle of Firdaous, the 11-year-old girl killed by gunfire in Merksem in February 2023.
In addition to Othman, Giorgi F. and Mathias A. are also on board this plane. Giorgi F. had been sentenced with his brother Gianni to ten years in prison for their involvement in a major Sky case. Giorgi F.’s arrest would have taken place in early June in Dubai.
