Morocco’s Exports Rise 3.3% in 2019, Led by Aeronautics and Agriculture

Moroccan exports experienced a slight increase in the first seven months of 2019.
Moroccan exports stood at nearly 168.3 billion dirhams (MMDH) compared to 162.99 MMDH for the same period in 2018, according to the Foreign Exchange Office, in a note on its monthly indicators of foreign trade for the month of July.
The same source indicates that several sectors, namely aeronautics (+11.5%), agriculture and agri-food (+6.5%), phosphates and derivatives (+3%) and automotive (+2%) have allowed this increase to be recorded.
As for the sales of the textile and leather sector, that of the so-called "Other mining" and those of the electronics sector, they have on the other hand experienced respective declines of 297 MDH, 235 MDH and 60 MDH.
As for services, the trade balance shows a surplus up 12.5%, to 48.1 MMDH, at the end of July 2019, compared to 42.78 MMDH, the previous year. Exports are up 2%, while imports are down 5.9%.
