Morocco Expels Over 1,300 Sub-Saharan Migrants from Tangier in Mass Relocation

A total of 1,350 migrants were expelled on Tuesday by the security forces from the city of Tangier. They are mostly from sub-Saharan countries.
These migrants, who were moved to several cities in the south in 11 buses, were arrested in several neighborhoods of the city of Tangier. Some were apprehended on trains from Rabat and Casablanca.
The number of expelled migrants will increase in the coming days. The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has sent reinforcements on Wednesday to continue the operations to transfer the migrants.
