Morocco Expands Popular ’Al-Atlas’ Train Service to Tangier, Fez, and Oujda Routes

Faced with the success of the new "Al-Atlas" offer on the line between Casablanca and Marrakech, the ONCF has just announced the implementation of the same offer on the Tangier, Fez and Oujda lines.
Referring to a "remarkable success" with more than 2.5 million passengers transported in three months, with 34 daily trains on the Casablanca-Fez, Casablanca-Marrakech and Fez-Marrakech axes, the ONCF will try to reproduce the same success on the lines serving Tangier and Oujda.
Specifically, more suitable trains and schedules for travelers’ needs are announced, with direct and non-stop connections "for simple and smooth journeys connecting Tangier to Fez and Oujda," the statement reads.
Thus, travelers will benefit from "improved on-board comfort", but also "the guarantee of a numbered seat in 2nd and 1st class", as well as "advantageous fares" for the purchase of train tickets up to the day before departure.
The ONCF recalls that since the implementation of the "Al-Atlas" offer, travelers have the possibility to reach Marrakech from Casablanca in 2h35.
