Morocco Expands Military Diplomacy with New Attaché Appointments Worldwide

King Mohammed VI has instructed military officials to proceed with a large movement of military attachés abroad.
According to reliable sources, the military attachés to the countries of sub-Saharan Africa are already in place, reports Maghreb-intelligence. "Except for a few very rare exceptions, this is a movement that is nothing unusual since these positions must be renewed every four years," explain the same sources.
In July, Morocco added two military attachés to its diplomatic missions in New Delhi and Ankara. In this sense, a draft decree creating the position of military attaché at the embassies of the kingdom in India and Turkey had been approved during a council of ministers chaired by King Mohammed VI on July 13. The mission of the military attachés is to coordinate the military cooperation between the kingdom and their countries of assignment.
