Morocco Expands Medical Cannabis Industry with 50 New Licenses

The National Agency for the Regulation of Cannabis Activities (ANRAC) is working to meet the demands for licenses allowing the exercise of activities of transformation, manufacturing, marketing and export of cannabis and its products for medical, pharmaceutical and industrial purposes.
After a recent meeting of the advisory committee responsible for studying license applications, the National Agency for the Regulation of Cannabis Activities (ANRAC) has granted 50 new licenses to more than 20 players in the sector, a well-informed source told Hespress. Among them, two cooperatives in charge of processing the product, marketing and exporting.
To date, the total number of licenses granted exceeds one hundred. The operators holding the license are, for their part, 35 in number. Their mission is to market in Morocco and abroad derived products.
To facilitate the process for potential license applicants, ANRAC will launch its website next week. Thus, license applications can be submitted online.
