Morocco Expands Digital Consular Services for Expatriates Worldwide

Morocco has taken new measures to simplify the life of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs). These are the generalization of the "Appointment" and "eStamp" systems to all the Kingdom’s Diplomatic Missions and Consular Posts (MDPC).
Morocco continues to make efforts to ensure that Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) have access to quality consular services. It has launched appointment management and "eStamp" systems, which have been generalized to all the Kingdom’s Diplomatic Missions and Consular Posts (MDPC) as of April 1. This action has borne fruit. More than 3.2 million appointments have been processed for more than 5 million consular services provided to members of the Moroccan community residing abroad, reports La MAP. The appointment management system not only meets the expectations and aspirations of MREs for modern and quality consular services, but also provides them with facilitated access to consular services under optimal reception conditions, reduced waiting time, as well as better quality of reception and service.
Regarding the "eStamp" management module launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad in coordination with the General Treasury of the Kingdom (TGR), more than 2.8 million consular services have been provided. By adopting this new procedure for paying chancellery fees, Morocco intends to strengthen the climate of trust between users and Consular Services for better transparency in administrative transactions.
