Morocco Expands Casablanca Highways to 3 Lanes, Boosting Infrastructure

The tripling of the Casablanca-Berrechid highway and the Casablanca bypass highway is about to become effective.
According to the National Motorway Company of Morocco (ADM), the first phase of the work is nearing completion. And it is Moroccan companies that have fully carried out the infrastructure.
This involves increasing the capacity of the Tit Mellil, Bouskoura, Berrechid and Mohammed V Airport toll plazas, by widening the highway by 3 km on either side of these four plazas and building a new overpass (bridge) to restore the railway line serving Mohammed V Airport.
ADM has mobilized around 400 million dirhams (MDH) to finance the work.
The second phase of this major project concerns a length of about 60 km from the Mohammedia junction to the Berrechid motorway interchange, passing through the Lissasfa junction, the same source specifies.
In this regard, a total envelope of 1.75 billion dirhams, financed by concessional loans from donors, by bond loans and by own funds, has been mobilized for its realization.
