Morocco Exceptional Aid 12-Month Limit Social Assistance

The Government Council approved draft decree no. 2.26.434 supplementing the implementing text of law no. 58.23 relating to the direct social assistance scheme.

This decree specifically concerns the exceptional allowance created by article 16 bis of law no. 41.26. It therefore does not limit to one year all aid paid to Moroccan households.

Twelve months, consecutive or not

According to the statement published following the Government Council meeting of July 22, the total payment period will be capped at twelve months. These monthly payments may be continuous or spread over several periods.

An interruption of aid will not reset the counter. Once a beneficiary has accumulated twelve months of payment, they will have reached the maximum duration provided for this exceptional allowance.
