Morocco to Distribute Social Aid to 1 Million Households Starting December 28

As announced, the aid planned for needy Moroccan families will be paid by the government. This should happen soon. What amount? When will it be paid?
Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch announced the imminent payment of direct social assistance, which concerns nearly one million households, or about 3.5 million citizens. From December 28th, eligible families according to the criteria of the Unified Social Registry will receive a minimum amount of 500 dirhams. This aid aims to support households that have completed their procedures before December 10th.
Akhannouch specified that late beneficiaries, those who submitted their applications after the deadline, will receive their December and January aid at the end of next month, reaffirming the government’s commitment to keep the application process open for households meeting the required conditions.
The "asd.ma" platform, set up to manage the requests, has so far recorded 1.9 million applications, a number that continues to grow. This measure is part of a broader approach to provide a safety net for the most vulnerable Moroccan families and to strengthen social cohesion across the country.
