Morocco-Europe Ferry Services Set to Resume in March, Pending Border Reopening

Subject to the reopening of the Moroccan borders, maritime crossings with Morocco could resume as of Tuesday, March 2, 2021. In the meantime, the maritime lines operated by the companies GNV, Baleària and La Méridionale are or will be canceled until February 28.
The maritime lines with Morocco should be canceled until February 28, 2021 inclusive. This measure applies to all shipping companies: GNV, Baleària and La Méridionale. The latter has already contacted its customers to inform them of the cancellation of their trips scheduled between February 23 and 28, 2021. As for the other two companies, they will probably inform their customers in the very near future.
Morocco could reopen its maritime borders during the month of March 2021. If this reopening were to become effective, the Moroccan authorities will require passengers to undergo a PCR test less than 72 hours before the ship’s departure. They will also be required to undergo another PCR test on board the ship during the crossing. A requirement that will prevent any type of PCR test falsification.
