Morocco Enters Secure Deconfinement Phase as COVID-19 Cases Decline

Morocco is on the verge of winning the bet of the fight against the coronavirus. A success due to the drastic and preventive measures taken by the various authorities. The kingdom is embarking on a secure deconfinement, in order to avoid any reversal of the situation.
While several countries are still trying to control the pandemic of the corona virus, Morocco, for its part, has already crossed this stage. The High Commission for Planning (HCP) indicated that the country is entering the phase of secure and controlled deconfinement. An option that will allow it to retain the major trends of the pandemic situation. The HCP has identified four groups in relation to the classification of countries. The first group includes the countries most affected by the virus, with control over its evolution. The 2nd group is that of the strongly affected countries, with good control over the spread. The 3rd group, on the other hand, is made up of the countries least affected, without total control over the spread. Finally, the 4th group includes the countries that control the pandemic and have limited its impact. The HCP reveals that the classification takes into account the countries that show perfect control over deconfinement.
With its many efforts, Morocco is classified in the success zone in the fight against the covid-19 pandemic. With this downward trend, the kingdom can be reassured that the announced deconfinement will be under control, according to the HCP. As a result, the country could join Group 4 of the classification and leave Group 3 in which it currently finds itself. To do this, the HCP calls for redoubled vigilance and recommends intensifying the ongoing tests.
According to the HCP, Africa is somewhat spared from the coronavirus. The figures confirm this trend. The continent has recorded 100,000 cumulative cases, with a spread rate of over 1%.
