Morocco Ensures Ample Food Supply and Stable Prices for Ramadan

The markets are normally supplied with all goods and products, with an offer that largely covers the needs during Ramadan. The other aspect that the commission has looked into is related to product prices. In this area, the commission said it had noted "the stabilization of prices compared to the previous weeks," while noting that "the average vegetable prices continue to decline compared to the previous week, reaching rates of +6% for green onions, -4% for tomatoes and more than -3% for potatoes".

The commission will continue to hold regular meetings to monitor "the evolution of the market situation, the level of supply and prices and the balance sheet of the control commissions’ interventions". The aim is to detect and deal with any type of fraud, monopolization, speculation or price manipulation.
