Morocco Ends Repatriation Flights as Most Nationals Exit Ukraine

The Moroccan authorities have decided to cancel the last repatriation flight for Moroccans from Ukraine. The number of requests is becoming increasingly low.
Summing up the operation to repatriate Moroccan nationals in difficulty in Ukraine, government spokesman Mustapha Baitas said the initiative has borne fruit, thanks to "the proactive approach taken by the government before the outbreak of the war."
More than 5,000 people have managed to leave Ukraine for one of the neighboring countries, he specified, stressing that the Moroccan community is the second largest after the Ukrainian to have crossed the border crossing points between Ukraine and the neighboring countries.
Justifying the government’s decision, Baitas explained that the number of calls received by the call centers made available to Moroccan nationals stranded in Ukraine has dropped sharply. "We went from 1,000 calls a day to only 16 calls a day."
As a result, the 6th flight dedicated to the repatriation of Moroccans stranded in Ukraine "has been canceled" since "the tickets have not been sold." And to specify that "the 5th flight of RAM recorded a low occupancy rate not exceeding 30%".
