Morocco Emerges as Top Investment Hub for Global Billionaires, Study Finds
Morocco is one of the most attractive countries in the world for billionaires who want to invest to grow their businesses, a study by the Henley & Partners firm reveals.
Most billionaires in the world choose the Moroccan destination to invest after leaving certain countries, especially Asian ones, this study on the "exodus of fortunes" indicates, specifying that 100 "wealthy people" set up their businesses in the kingdom in 2022 and that 100 others should arrive in 2023.
The Henley & Partners firm, which carried out the study, ranks Morocco 20th among the most attractive countries for the very wealthy businessmen who wish to grow their business. Those considered are those who have transferred their assets from one country and settled in another for at least six months, reports the daily Al Akhbar.
Australia is at the top of this global ranking with the installation of 3,800 super-rich in 2022 and a forecast of 5,200 in 2023. It is followed by the United Arab Emirates, which welcomed 5,220 wealthy people in 2022 and could receive 4,500 in 2023.
