Morocco: emergency landing of a Ryanair flight from London

A Ryanair Boeing 737 operating the regular route between London and Agadir had to make an emergency landing at Mohammed V airport in Casablanca.
As the plane was approaching Moroccan airspace, the captain declared an emergency, requesting permission to land at the nearest airport, say industry sources, noting that the aircraft eventually landed at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport.
The captain’s alert drew attention to this flight, which was one of the most followed in the world on flightradar24, a real-time flight tracking platform. Several Boeing 737s have been involved in various incidents in recent weeks, raising legitimate concerns in the aviation industry.
