Morocco’s Electronic Toll Pass Sales Surge 14% in 2022, Reaching 1.8 Million Users

In 2022, the National Motorway Company of Morocco (ADM) experienced strong growth in sales of its flagship product, the Pass Jawaz, with 230,153 units sold.
This 14% increase compared to the previous year brings the total number of Passes sold since the launch of the electronic toll system to 1.8 million. A success that reflects the enthusiasm of motorists for this automatic payment solution, practical and without additional fees compared to cash payment, it is indicated in a press release.
In order to improve the user experience, ADM implemented two new Jawaz Pass recharge methods in 2022. The first is remote recharging, accessible via the Bank Assafa banking application and website, while the second allows recharging in the city via the Al Filahi Cash agency network.
Moreover, the turnover generated by the Jawaz Pro service, in 2022, evolved by 31% compared to 2021, which constitutes a participation rate of 18% in the overall Jawaz revenue. Jawaz Pro is a service intended for administrations and public or private companies, with a fleet that can consist of light or heavy vehicles.
This service consists of fully autonomous, remote and real-time management of the entire Jawaz fleet through the Jawaz Pro platform. The customer proceeds with a central recharge balance purchase that ADM feeds into the platform and which the customer can freely distribute among the Jawaz Passes in its fleet.
