Morocco vs Egypt: AFCON Quarter-Final Clash Set for High Stakes and Intensity

Former Moroccan striker Youssef Hadji has spoken out about Morocco’s upcoming match against Egypt in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. He believes that matches between the North African teams are tight and sometimes explosive.
"A tight clash between the two selections." This is the reading that Youssef Hadji makes of this much-anticipated quarter-final between Morocco and Egypt. For him, only the team that shows "realism, tactical diligence and offensive efficiency" will manage to secure their ticket for the semi-finals.
Former player of the Moroccan national team, Youssef Hadji has already faced the tenacity of the Egyptians in 2006. It was as part of the 2nd day of the CAN and the match ended in a draw (0-0). "They have always been very tight matches between Morocco and Egypt. This one is a team that resembles us and therefore the men of Vahid Halilhodzic must be much more realistic and serious in this match," he confided in a statement to SNRTnews.
Even though he thinks that Mohamed Salah and his teammates are physically disadvantaged due to their difficult qualification against Côte d’Ivoire, Youssef Hadji believes that "Egypt remains a beautiful team that has excellent players technically and tactically like Mohamed Salah".
