Morocco Edges USA on Penalties in Thrilling Kings League Quarterfinal

The Moroccan Kings League selection has secured its place in the semi-finals of the Kings World Cup Nations. Against a tough American team, the Atlas Lions had to fight hard to snatch the victory on penalties (9-8), after a match rich in twists and turns.
The Moroccans, known for their technical and spectacular play, faced rigorous and difficult-to-maneuver Americans. Despite sometimes unfavorable refereeing, they managed to equalize at 7-7 in the final minutes of regulation time thanks to a goal by Nadir Louah. The latter allowed his team to catch up and take the United States to penalties.
With the "Goal X 2" rule, which doubles the value of a goal scored in the last two minutes, the two teams found themselves tied before embarking on the fateful shootout. The Moroccans ultimately had the last word, winning 2-1 against the dejected Americans.
In the semi-finals, the Atlas Lions will face Colombia, who had beaten them in their first match (4-1). An opportunity for the Moroccans to take their revenge.
To recall, the Kings League, created in 2022 by former FC Barcelona player Gerard Piqué, offers a revisited version of football with innovative rules. The matches, shorter, are punctuated by spectacular actions and twists and turns thanks to the use of "secret cards" that offer coaches original strategic options.
