Morocco’s Economy Grows 4.6% as GDP Hits 1.06 Trillion Dirhams in 2017

The gross domestic product (GDP) reached 1,063.3 billion dirhams (MMDH) in 2017, according to the High Commission for Planning (HCP), up 4.6% compared to 2016.
In its information note on the national accounts of the institutional sectors for the year 2017, the HCP indicates that the corporate sector (financial and non-financial) is the primary producer of national wealth, with 43.4% of national wealth, compared to 43.1% in 2016.
The Gross National Disposable Income (GNDI) stood at 1,124.8 MMDH in 2017, up 4.7%, following the increase in the disposable income of general government by 6.9%, households and NPISH (+4.2%) and financial and non-financial corporations (+3.2%).
