Morocco Eases Visa Process for Indian Investors, Offering One-Year Stay

Morocco will grant a one-year visa to Indian investors wishing to explore the Moroccan market.
This decision was announced by the Kingdom’s ambassador to India, Mohamed Maliki, on the sidelines of the Morocco Now operation which has set up its base this week in the country, reports the Indian press. A measure in line with the Kingdom’s desire to see India rank among its top 10 partners by 2025, the diplomat specified.
To this end, interested parties can apply from any city in India, simply online and will be in possession of their document within 3 to 5 days.
Speaking on the occasion of the opening of the operation, the Moroccan diplomat revealed that Morocco would open a consulate in Bangalore. This consulate will be added to the existing ones in Bombay and Calcutta.
For his part, the Director General of the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), Youssef El Bari, declared that "Morocco and India have very strong industrial potentials and two complementary platforms. Indeed, thanks to its 54 free trade agreements, Morocco offers direct access to the African, European, American and British markets with a great capacity for responsiveness, particularly with Europe, in the image of the role played by India in Asia".
