Morocco Eases Lockdown: Cafes and Restaurants to Reopen at 50% Capacity

Cafes and restaurants are reopening again after a timid first opening. As part of the 2nd phase of the easing of the state of emergency, they will open next Wednesday with 50% of their capacity.
This second phase of easing the state of health emergency will take effect from June 24 at midnight. According to the new joint measures of the Ministry of the Interior and Health, shopping centers, cafes, restaurants, hammams and sports clubs should reopen with well-defined conditions.
These new measures aim to revive certain economic activities nationwide. As for cafes and restaurants, which were only open for home delivery and "take-out", they are now authorized with 50% of their reception capacity. The same applies to gyms and hammams, shopping malls, galleries and activities related to audiovisual and film production.
As for intercity road and rail transport, they resume as well as domestic flights under the same conditions.
However, the easing measures do not concern bars, nightclubs and restaurants where orchestras perform.
